Gpa Bill Update.

Okay, so yesterday afternoon they drained 2 liters from his lungs and 7 liters from his abdomen...he's going to have to start exercising more and he's on the transplant list for a new liver (not a new kidney like I originally thought). Because he has too much potassium they are giving him some medicine so he can basically poop the potassium out [sorry if I grossed anyone out just then]. They actually had to strap him down to the bed yesterday so he wouldn't get up...the nurses walked in and caught him trying to get up to go to the bathroom because he forgot he had a catheter in. Grandma and Aunt Alaina (dad's sister) thought the straps were there because his belly had expanded so much, but it was because they couldn't keep him in his bed otherwise (which makes me laugh a little bit because it shows the Curtis stubbornness, haha).
I talked to Alaina earlier and they're moving him into a regular room. He's going to be doing physical therapy at the request of my aunt & Grandma...I'm not sure if he know about that part....lol. But he should be released later this week. I don't think they fully know yet what's causing the fluids to keep coming back.
That's all I know right now...I'll keep posting as I get updates.

Grandpa Bill

So my dad's dad...my Grandpa Bill, has been in the hospital lately. For the past 6 years he has had cirrhosis of the liver (not because of alcoholism, but for some other reason, I'm not real sure). Anyhow, he went to the hospital last week and they had to drain 17 pounds...yes, pounds...of liquid from around his stomach. They thought that this could be somehow related to the medication he's on for his liver.
So on Sunday he fell down in the bathroom, Grandma couldn't get him up and my aunt was at church so they called 911. The "liquid" has returned. After running tests they found that his potassium levels were really high (partially because of the medication)...so they were doing blood transfusions (to get some potassium out) and then taking the liquid out sometime today...which is in his abdomen and lungs now. He's also on the transplant list for a new kidney.
He still hasn't gone into surgery but I'll keep updating on here, please keep him in your prayers.

"The Whole Megillah" Ballet by The Studio

Okay, first I must admit that my pictures are not all that great...there's only one that I really like the way it came out....there's just one reason for this (I think): I didn't use flash because I thought that it was being filmed. Turns out it wasn't being filmed. I do admit, however, that not using flash actually got me some cool shots at times. Here are some of my favorites...

This one is definitely my favorite from the night:

new camera!!

When I woke up this morning, I knew that it was going to be a wonderful day...first, it's FRIDAY!! It's Pay Day...I got my Federal Tax Refund. It's Friday. Stephanie is coming this weekend. It's Friday. I had a great hair day (just kidding, although I really did). And I got my CANON EOS REBEL XSi!!!!!!!!!

I can hardly contain my excitement right now!! I ordered it yesterday and it came UPS earlier today! I got overnight shipping and I still saved a good bit of money compared to buying it in a store...

I've already played with it and taken a few pictures...now the battery is on the charger. And it's time for me to get back to work.

But here are a few of them first (keep in mind these are all raw images, not editing)... =)

Hope everyone has a great day!

Flowers starting to bloom on campus outside already!
